In this last week before our half-term break, we have had short tests in reading and maths.

In English, we have done a variety of activities including: completing our "Highwayman" monologues and typing these up onto the computer; comprehension activity; making notes from and extended text for use in creating a non-chronological report.

Our maths has continued our work on fractions, focusing on converting between mixed numbers and improper fractions and adding fractions.

We had a special day on Thursday when we spent the day creating Aboriginal-style stick paintings with two elements - one representing a traditional "dream-time" journey and the other representing a modern journey. We also did a little more art on Friday, using an online guide to help us create a one-point perspective drawing of the inside of a room.
