We have begun a new unit of work in English this week, focussing on the well known Alfred Noyes poem, The Highwayman. We have read and listened to the poem, done some dictionary work to ensure we understood the words and phrases and outlined the plot.

Our maths work involved comparing (and converting between) mixed numbers and improper fractions. We also have been learning about some "special numbers" including square numbers and cube numbers.

We have also started a new topic  in geography. After our studies of major rivers of the world last term, we are now learning about the physical geography of rivers.
