In this short week at school following Monday's Bank Holiday, we have continued our unit of work on persuasive writing in English. We have been considering written arguments which present, explain and argue for a point of view, thinking about effective and helpful opening paragraphs and well-structured main paragraphs. We also did some comprehension work on Tuesday, concentrating on explaining authors' choice of language and layout.

Most of our maths time this week has been taken up by doing our "end of year" maths tests. In other lessons, we started our summer term Design and Technology project on automata by looking at some existing products and, both yesterday and today, had discussions about the General Election, government and democracy in the United Kingdom.
