25th to 28th February
This has been a short week as Monday was an INSET Day for the teachers.
We have done a variety of activities in English this week. Most of us finished off and produced an electronic version of their Highwayman monologue. We have done some comprehension work, including an activity based on the story of Jason and the Argonauts to introduce our new English unit based on myths and legends.
Our maths learning has focused on shape and the features and properties of triangles in particular and we have also learned about and used some tests of divisibility.
We have done some more atlas work, helping us to learn the locations of cities, rivers and areas of high land in the UK as well as countries and capital cities in Europe. We started a new area of study in science which will help us think about healthy life-styles and we also did some learning about how to write up a science experiment in a formal report as part of our topic on light.
