14th to 18th July
We have had a good last week of the school year.
We finished our Kensuke's Kingdom work by completing our stories about the "jellyfish incident" written from Kensuke's point of view and hearing the emotional end to the book. We had our music concert which was, by general agreement, excellent with wonderful contributions by the instrumentalists and the choir.
ONe of the highlights of the week in class was our special Aztec Day in which we played a simulation game about Aztec village life. Each group was an Aztec family which had to run its "food budget" over the year, tend and harvest following years' crops and make and barter other objects needed for a contented Aztec life. Everybody did really well.
School has now broken up and will re-open on 3rd September 2008.
