We have been working on ideas about 2D and 3D shapes this week, including revising the properties of shape and calculating areas of shapes based on rectangles. In English, we had a go at last year's SATs reading test on Monday and then moved on to more writing activities. We have been concentrating on making our writing more interesting to the reader by adding details and showing atmosphere and character's mood by showing (through detailed description) rather than merely telling the reader. Today we took a bland narrative and re-wrote this to make it more interesting by giving the characters real personalities.

In science we have been revising sound, electricity and teeth while, in ICT, we have completed our control Logo work by programming an advertising display to promote a breakfast TV version of The Weakest Link.
