12th to 14th March
We have continued our work on poetry in English, turning our thoughts to an exploration of different forms of poems - short poems. In particular, we have looked at Clerihews, Limericks and Haiku. We have ready many examples of each of these and written our own poems in each of these forms.
In maths we have looked at some further percentages problems and also thought some more about ratio and proportion. We have finished our science topic on materials by doing some work on burning and other permanent changes, concluding with our review tests to check what we have remembered!
Some of us went to participate in a concert at Carlton Digby Special School this morning while others of us watched the video of the film Carrie's War which links with our history topic.
This afternoon we did some art, creating a 3D card of flowers (make of shaped cardboard,), which could be used as Easter Cards.
School has now broken up for the Easter holidays. We re-open on Monday 31st March.
