3rd to 7th December

We have been very busy this week preparing for our Christmas production which is based on the Baboushka folk story. We have been giving out parts, learning lines, sorting out costumes, planning dances and putting it all together. About fifty of the Year 6 pupils have speaking parts.

In between times we have been continuing our maths work on fractions and decimals, dealing with these in problem solving situations. We have also done some work on ratio and proportion. We have completed our science topic on Forces in Action and reviewed this work after doing some practical activities in which we made different spinners to investigate the effect of air resistance.

In English, we have turned our attention to autobiographical writing and we have also had our usual French, PE and PSHCE sessions.
