12th to 14th March
We have continued thinking about suspense stories in English this week. We have thought about the various techniques authors use to develop tension and tried to use these ourselves in paragraphs developing the build-up and dilemma of a story involving suspense. Our maths work has focused on measurement. We have been revising work about converting between metric units (e.g. mm-cm-m-km; g-kg-tonnes; ml-cl-l) and using our knowledge in problems.
We had our usual Tuesday sessions of French, handwriting, spelling and PE and have also spent some time going through the science test that we did last week. Today our school took part in the area Road Safety Quiz and we have also found time to do a little history work and some RE about pilgrimage in preparation for a class trip to Southwell Minster.
