24th and 25th November
We concentrated on some harder maths problems (ones requiring more than one calculation) in our numeracy today. An important part of the task was to show any "working out" and the calculations that we had actually done.
In English we completed our analysis of an autobiographical text and, for our history folders, we began a timeline of significant war time events.
We had a PE lesson and did some more of our science topic, this time thinking about how light travels and reflects of some materials.
Today we had our Friday maths and English groups in the morning as usual and, in the afternoon, practiced our songs for the Christmas production and finished the day with Design Technology. We first discussed the need for different kinds of shelters and their construction. Then we made some "beam" structures which we will test for strength next week.
