We completed our work on narrative poetry today. We built up a "sociogram" to show the relationships between the characters in the poem. This was a new activity for us. We wrote the names of the key characters on a large sheet of paper and drew links between them which we labelled to show the relationships between them, their feelings towards each other and any actions which affected each other. We also looked at tenses in the poem and changed verse one and three into the present tense - comparing the results with the last two verses of the original.

In maths were looked at rounding decimal numbers - first in the context of money and then with other decimal numbers. We spent some time this afternoon thinking about our next art topic, Containers, looking at a presentation showing the work of artists (particularly ceramic artists) who have created containers. We discussed and then sketched examples of the work of two artists.
